Amber Dekker (she/her) is an undergraduate student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Davis. She joined the lab in Summer 2023, driven by her interests in water quality, remediation, and environmental justice. Amber contributes to the Caldor Wildfire Project, working with the American River Conservancy (ARC) to conduct field work and retrieve water samples from the Cosumnes River watershed. In the lab, she processes water samples for major ion analysis and organic/inorganic carbon measurements. After she graduates, Amber plans to gain experience in the industry before returning to pursue a graduate degree in the near future.
