Fritzi Kornstaedt is an environmental engineering undergraduate student at UC Davis. She started working in the Pena Lab in Summer 2024 pursuing interests in remediation and environmental chemistry. In the lab, she mostly assists with studying manganese-oxidizing bacteria. Fritzi plans to continue her work with the Pena group until her graduation in Spring of 2025, after which she plans on working in industry, though she is hoping to attend graduate school with a focus on environmental remediation in the future.
